Well, here's my second (crappily done) tutorial! How to draw horses.
I guess I'll start off by saying that if I were really going to teach someone else how to draw horses I might go about it a different way. I'd probably go into anatomy and such, and get all complicated and rip off other tutorials I've seen (har har). But I didn't do that with this; this is how I learned. My sister taught me how to do this whan I was probably five or six, when learning things by steps and using shapes was a lot better then learning anatomy. I really do have to thank my sister; without her showing me this it might have taken me years to discover it on my own, and who knows where I'd be.
Anyway, very simple, whipped it up in a couple hours. The examples aren't exactly the best, nor the best in terms of proportions and anatomy, but ah well, it gets the idea across. I hope someone finds it useful anyhow!
I'll probably scrap this tomorrow, depending on people's reactions. Is it worth it to keep it in my gallery? I don't think it is, but if I helps someone... who knows.
Oddly enough, your way of drawing the horse's head is very similar to my own, just some of the steps are in a different order. I always start by drawing the ear and then going down the profile, around the chin and jaw, and to the cheek. Yep yep! I've never really had problems with drawing their heads this way, so I think that your tutorial should be a great help to those looking for an uncomplicated way to capture equine beauty.
