Yaaaay!!! I'm finished!!!

Anyway, here's my half of an art trade ~ DV-Skitz and I are doing. This is her character Kaiara running along the plains possibly toward the Pan Woods, but who knows?

Anyway, I spend a ton of time on this, and I'm very proud of the results! I know I used agrass brush, but it's one I made myself so I figure it's alright. =) Um waht else to say... well, I like it. =D Hope you do too, DV! I'm sorry if it's out of character though... I don't know much about Kaiara at all. ^^;

I don't think I'll go back and change it unless it's a tiny change... so if you could give me tips on technique or anatomy I'd be happy. =) Thanks!

Done in Photoshop 7.0, over many hours... I think more then six.
The artwork is © Moi, , but the character Kaiara and design is © . Please don't steal her character; we'd be extremely upset if you do!

WOWS!!! O.O that is amazing! all of the detail! and the grass looks great, even if it is a brush.. you can see that its different and not the typical Photoshop brush that everyone ueses. :)

Hmmm.... lesseeee... o.o; The cheek should look more flat. The shape should be a bit more rectangle shaped than semi-circle.
Colouring, lighting, and BG are all awesome. ^^ Love the thunderhead.

Personally, I think the lineart just takes away from the overall image. It looks like... like it doesn't belong. Like inked lines over a (admittedly, slightly blurry) photo.
With a bit higher definition and contrast with the shading, the lines wouldn't be needed at all.

Yeah, I originally planned to do it without any outlines. I don't know why I chose to go with the ink; I think I was planning on removing the lines sometime but something stopped me. I think I went too far and didn't want to go through the trouble of smooting out the edges and all that. :XD: I'm so lazy, lol!

I'm glad you like the lighting and the background and everything though! Thanks for the crits, I'll take every single one to account in my next picture! =D

the background is very good! fantastic!!! but you should have taken those outlines off... the horse would blend into that world.... but still... it is very beautiful!!!

Seems people really hate those lines... if one more person comes up to me and tells me to get rid of those lines I'll just have to go and do it! :XD: I'm really glad you like the background though! I must have gone through three versions of it before settling on this one. Thank you!
